Third Circle Coffee

Following the very enjoyable visit to the nearby Fearless Coffee, I took a long walk before reaching Third Circle Coffee – my original destination on that particular cafe exploration of Rosemount… The minimalistic decor gave off a hipster vibe (which tends to correlate with good barista skills, but I have not done a study on that!), albeit the strangely intense techno-style music* chinked that perception somewhat.

Fearless Coffee

I decided on a longer circuit around Rosemount and surrounding shopping areas; and so, my chosen route took in another cafe I had never heard of, mere 250 yards from my prime destination, called Fearless Coffee – and here is where I went first.

Thyme Out

I had seen this place countless times on my way back from work or a walk in this area of Aberdeen; it never dazzled with flashy clientelle or snazzy branding, but its tenure suggested there was enough there to keep it afloat through the tough times, so I thought it worth a shot.

Resting Brunch Face

When my mocha arrived, it was clear these guys weren’t just brunch obsessed – the skilful latte art attested to coffee credentials. I noted, however, that despite the crisp rosette shape, the milk top looked a bit fluffy, rather than a silky surface indicating a smooth texture.

Mount Cafe

My coffee arrived some 5min later and it was a joy to behold. Based on my experience so far I was all but certain it would be perfect – and it did not disappoint.
