When an Instagram reel featuring Mozart popped up on my “For you” feed, I hit “Save” instantly. I then retrieved the video on my next trip to the Capital, but only after I actually spotted someone walking down Piccadilly with a flowery 2-cup holder, which triggered my memory.

Moossh Cafe
I liked the presentation when it was served not long after – an earthenware mug and pretty latte art in rich chocolatey concoction. But the visuals were misleading!
Ride Coffee House
This place has popped up in a few conversations with Aberdeen(shire) people that have become aware of A Black Spot; they would ask if I had been yet – suggesting it was worth a visit.
Longparke Farm
I’m sad to say that I enjoyed my Americano more (I drained it quite quickly actually, so the coffee itself is not an issue); however, the place is large, very comfortable and accommodating of solo fliers and families with kids alike.
Café Kitsuné London
The latter had a Kitsuné bar serving take away coffees, so I returned inside the archway where the only seat was at the wide open window overlooking Motcomb – it was perfect.

Hideaway
The name should have been a giveaway, but it was only when I stepped inside this small-ish – and hugely popular (read: packed!) – cafe when I realised it’s the baby of Piccadilly’s Hide Restaurant, which I had the pleasure to dine and break fast before.
