And so, I made a U-turn and entered the dreamy-looking Falls of Feugh. A bit confused at first which way to go in the small, country-house-like hallway, once I found the right door I was shocked by the sheer size of the place – and that was only one part of it!

Tempo
Having experienced it first-hand, and seen how popular this place is, I would encourage anyone who’s looking to fill a half-hour in town to pay Tempo a visit – it’s all for a good cause, and you will come out feeling more than recharged for the rest of the day!
Birdhouse Cafe
Somehow I got through the cup and was glad I hadn’t had anything to eat with it – I was stuffed!
Pavilion Cafe
Even though I wouldn’t rate the coffee the highest, I would certainly recommend paying the Pavilion a visit – I know I will, even if it’s just for one of the extensive selection of scrumptious looking homemade cakes…
The Kitchen Works
Even though the biting winter cold did not encourage long walks, I still decided to venture to the Works, to give my escapade a bit more purpose (coffee research, no less) – and was very surprised to learn that the venue was actually huge, extending far from the narrowish entrance.
The Bothy Braemar
On my arrival to Braemar I spotted a few places worth visiting, but The Bothy definitely stood out – and seeing that I visited its sister in Ballater many-a-time, I thought it only right to see how the competition fared.
