Bean For Coffee?
That sunny, blue-sky Saturday morning called for a road trip – and, as promised quite recently, it had to be Ballater, as there was a new walk to be done and an old coffee shop to be checked out again.

Following that short stopover, I did continue my exploration of the surrounding forest, and there’s still a few trails for me to discover. Rest assured, I will certainly be back – and, regardless of how I believe a proper mocha should be made, I will probably end up having another one of those when I visit next time.
Cafe Cognito
Only during my recent walk did I discover Cafe Cognito – virtually opposite Rocksalt, which opened shortly after my first visit to the area. It was a sunny Sunday, and I could feel it in my bones this would be a good one.
