Burr & Co.

I passed the Burr & Co., – it looked like my kind of place. Classy decor, with that upmarket deli/brunchy feel I could loosely compare to Robouchon on London’s Piccadilly (only slightly less busy)…

The Coffee Pot

I had no expectations at all, but when the mug arrived, I felt a pang of ease. There was something about the texture of the drink that didn’t feel me with dread, which was a good sign.

Figment Coffee

I was doubtful there would be any decent places to stop at after 3pm on an early-January Sunday… and then I remembered about Figment Coffee, mentioned just the other day at work.

Aberdeen Art Gallery

I will leave you to explore and comment on the contents of the gallery at your leisure and focus on the more prosaic aspect of my visit. There are two cafes: one on the ground floor, right by the entrance, and another on the top floor, with access to the terrace opening up to a somewhat obstructed skyline of Aberdeen’s city centre. I think you know which one I went for.
