Perth Cafés

The trip to Perth I referenced in the Flat White post was truly a whirlwind one: I spent less than 6 days in the Western Australian city, and this being a business trip, I had minimal time for extra-curricular activities. I knew I had to be strategic with my coffee scene education.

The Kitchen Works

Even though the biting winter cold did not encourage long walks, I still decided to venture to the Works, to give my escapade a bit more purpose (coffee research, no less) – and was very surprised to learn that the venue was actually huge, extending far from the narrowish entrance.

Cocoa Ooze – revisited

I don’t usually do revisits, particularly of places that had scored quite low on A Black Spot; and I was rather apprehensive of returning to Cocoa Ooze remembering my previous experience of it, not long after its opening – however, I’m glad I decided to go after all.

Crathes Castle Courtyard Cafe

Following that short stopover, I did continue my exploration of the surrounding forest, and there’s still a few trails for me to discover. Rest assured, I will certainly be back – and, regardless of how I believe a proper mocha should be made, I will probably end up having another one of those when I visit next time.
