When my mocha arrived, it was clear these guys weren’t just brunch obsessed – the skilful latte art attested to coffee credentials. I noted, however, that despite the crisp rosette shape, the milk top looked a bit fluffy, rather than a silky surface indicating a smooth texture.

My coffee arrived some 5min later and it was a joy to behold. Based on my experience so far I was all but certain it would be perfect – and it did not disappoint.

It felt light as I picked it up and the froth under the lid seemed to confirm the concoction would be underwhelming. And so it was.
