I don’t usually do revisits, particularly of places that had scored quite low on A Black Spot; and I was rather apprehensive of returning to Cocoa Ooze remembering my previous experience of it, not long after its opening – however, I’m glad I decided to go after all.

Sand Dollar Cafe
Before that morning I had only been to the place once before, and just for a coffee and cake – the beach-front location is not particularly convenient, especially on a weekend when it’s always a struggle to find a parking space. In fact, I did attempt another visit after that, but the place was packed out the door, so I ended up going elsewhere.
Cafe Mish
Upon arrival I was advised at the time only breakfast sandwiches were being served – an ample selection of different variations of Eggs Benedict and the likes, at unbelievable prices considering we were still in the centre of London.
Cafe de Pierre
Caffe de Pierre is certainly worth recommending, leaving pleasant memories and aftertastes, albeit on a tad expensive side – but, all in all, not bad for a high street chain after all.
The Cat in the Window Cafe
I am bound to be a self-fulfilling prophecy in the eyes of those friends who portray the future-me as a crazy cat lady… but I could imagine no better way of spending a lonely Valentine’s Day, than drinking coffee in the company of felines.
Coppa Coffee
I don’t like crowds anyway, so first impressions where great: lovely decor – simple but fresh, with warm fairly lights and plenty of wood all around; tranquil atmosphere and nice old school tunes (cue The Beach Boys) are just right up my street.
