The Cat in the Window Cafe

I am bound to be a self-fulfilling prophecy in the eyes of those friends who portray the future-me as a crazy cat lady… but I could imagine no better way of spending a lonely Valentine’s Day, than drinking coffee in the company of felines.

Coppa Coffee

I don’t like crowds anyway, so first impressions where great: lovely decor – simple but fresh, with warm fairly lights and plenty of wood all around; tranquil atmosphere and nice old school tunes (cue The Beach Boys) are just right up my street.

The Long Dog Cafe

But, as I discovered this time round, there have been further changes: the Rocksalt & Snails was no more, replaced by Coppa Coffee, a venue under new ownership which I’m yet to try out; and also, down past the school and round a kids’ shoe shop on the corner of the street, there’s The Long Dog Cafe.

The Tea Makers of London

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by The Tea Makers of London, wondering if I’d be keen to sample some of their offering. I never reviewed tea before, but was up for the experience, so expressed my interest by giving the tea shop freedom of choice.

Tastes of the Seaside

It’s been more than a decade since I visited the biggest of the Polish Tricity – a metropolis of three cities over the Balric Sea; in fact, I never stayed there more than a day, always camping with the folks at nearby Sopot. Back then, I would have not had coffee either, so it’s fair to say that this return to the homeland was, in fact, a completely new experience.
