Rye & Soda
I will certainly make future trips to Rye & Soda’s for a patio lunch, but this time I will take them up on the £5 Champagne Brunch offer, which would certainly round up a summer afternoon nicely…
The Shack Coffee Shop
And if it had been a lazy weekend morning, I might have even enjoyed a wee breakfast in that comfy – and very private – armchair in front of a window that you couldn’t see through…
Pot Kettle Black
The decor is right up my street, with plenty of wood, funky lighting, and a mix and match of seats and tables offering lots of room for all types of drinkers – and eaters. Indeed, not only coffee is served at the Pot, but also sandwiches, cakes and even cocktails at evening functions.
Cocoa Ooze – revisited
I don’t usually do revisits, particularly of places that had scored quite low on A Black Spot; and I was rather apprehensive of returning to Cocoa Ooze remembering my previous experience of it, not long after its opening – however, I’m glad I decided to go after all.
Sand Dollar Cafe
Before that morning I had only been to the place once before, and just for a coffee and cake – the beach-front location is not particularly convenient, especially on a weekend when it’s always a struggle to find a parking space. In fact, I did attempt another visit after that, but the place was packed out the door, so I ended up going elsewhere.
